A Century of Byzantine Studies in Turkey

The International Sevgi Gönül Byzantine Studies Symposium, which has been held annually for the last seventeen years has made a remarkable contribution to the development of Byzantine studies in Turkey. The Sixth Symposium was held in 2023, marking the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic.
